Challenge
We need to manufacture an MRI machine housing for a client; this requires us to complete the product's exterior—measuring 3m x 3.2m x 1.5m—within 15 days and assemble it to verify the structural soundness of the new MRI system design.
Solution
The client requires a product that can be repeatedly assembled and disassembled, and has high standards regarding material strength and toughness; therefore, we plan to manufacture the product using CNC machining and ABS material.
Result
Day 1: We discuss product dimensions, material requirements, structural feasibility, and other details with the client. Day 2: The Engineering Department confirms key product specifications with the client and compiles the meeting minutes. Day 3: The Production and Engineering departments hold a meeting to establish production and quality standards. Day 4: The client confirms the order, and the Production Department finalizes the production schedule. Days 5–8: The CNC Department carries out product manufacturing. Days 9–11: The Post-processing Department performs preliminary surface treatment. Day 12: The Engineering Department assembles the product. Day 13: The Surface Finishing Department applies the final surface treatment. Day 14: The sales representative invites the client for an on-site quality inspection. Day 15: Product delivery.
